The seeds for our future

Dear readers,

Coming here on this website, you must wonder why you received the package, and what VPInstruments – as a technology company – is doing with the seeds.

The story started in 1974, when the young student Anton van Putten received a study assignment to make a flow sensor, without knowing that he was inventing the world’s first thermal mass flow sensor in a silicon chip. As they said, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”, the love of innovation and science stays there in the family. 20 years later, his son Pascal van Putten with the help of other family members, turned Anton’s technology into products for energy savings, which is also the core of VPInstruments nowadays. This tradition now keeps growing, not only within VPInstruments but also spread in our distributors and energy savings community.

It is just like planting a seed. How a little action can grow and bloom to some amazing, terrific outcomes later. The seeds can be found everywhere, in every generation. And we believe, with these seeds in hand, we can create a sustainable future together. For each plant that you grow, we will donate 1 euro to the “Tree for all” fund. Below you can find the sowing instructions:

For Summer Flower Mix:

• Sowing instruction: The summer flower mix consists of more than 50 varieties, including, dill, cucumber herb, asters, dahlias, flax, cosmea and black cumin. Sow directly in the open ground from the end of March to July. Spread the seed well and cover with a thin layer of soil. Spray regularly. The mixture gives a colorful floral bouquet. The bag contains sufficient seeds for 0.5m².

For Myosotis (Forget-me-not) flowers:

• Sowing time: from June until september outside, directly on the desired location. It’s important to distribute the seeds evenly over the area. Be careful: forget-me-not seeds are very small. To make distributing more easily you can mix the seeds with a little bit of sand. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of dirt. Keep the soil moist.
• Bloom time: next spring.

Tips: Don’t forget to water the plants often. You can use your finger to feel the soil if your plants are thirsty. Giving your plants biofertilizer will help them grow faster. When the weather is too cold outside, you can keep your plants safe with some straw or simply bring them inside.
